Along the Way is more than a blog.  It is a sneak peak into where I come from, and what made me who I am today.

As a little girl, I was always drawn to the elderly folks in my life.  It wasn’t just because of their stories, but it was the way they told their stories that fascinated me.  My grandmother got a little twinkle in her eye when she told a story and would look off into the distance as though she could see it taking place.  Interviewing the elderly and documenting those stories remains one of my favorite past times to this day.

At the age of 12, I received a blank journal for Christmas. It wasn’t just a journal, but rather a book longing to be written.  It was full of blank pages just waiting for me to imagine what each and every one should become.  It was the first of many journals that I kept through the years and up until they were destroyed in a flood, they were my most prized possession.

The site and blog are currently under construction so please forgive the dust and debris.  Eventually, I would love for you to invite your friends to follow my blog as we explore all of the interesting things I’ve lived and learned . . . along the way.
